Cedora's dining range covers four looks: Modern Organic and Contemporary Organic in the darker pieces, Coastal Contemporary and Modern Farmhouse in the acacia pieces. Construction runs from solid oak legs on a solid pine structure, to solid acacia hardwood, to a solid pine frame with oak veneer. The range covers dining tables, dining chairs, benches and sideboards.

The Oxford collection offers 190cm and 240cm tables in White acacia with a clean, coastal-modern finish, with matching chairs sold as a set of two. The Byron collection offers the broadest size range with 160cm, 190cm, and 240cm tables in solid acacia, in a warm, Hamptons-inspired profile, with matching dining chairs.

Choosing Your Size

Size comes down to the number of people you want to seat comfortably and the room around the table, not just the table itself. A 160cm table seats 4 to 6 and suits apartments and smaller dining rooms. A 190cm table seats 6 comfortably and is the most versatile choice for an average Australian dining space. A 240cm table seats 8 and works in open-plan living or larger dining rooms where the table is meant to anchor the space. Allow at least 900mm clearance on each side for chairs to pull out and people to move around without bumping into walls or other furniture.

The Liverpool Collection

Liverpool dining tables are built from solid pine and MDF with a one-sided oak veneer, available in Natural and Black. The Natural finish brings a warm, neutral tone; the Black finish gives the same shape a more graphic, contemporary feel. The 190cm table seats 6, the 240cm seats 8, and matching Liverpool dining chairs (sold as a set of two) share the same construction and finish for a cohesive look.

The Oxford Collection

Oxford dining tables are built from solid acacia in a White finish, with a cleaner, more coastal profile than Liverpool. The 190cm table is suited to 6-seat dining, the 240cm to 8. Oxford dining chairs are sold as a set of two, in the same White finish, and sit comfortably alongside the Oxford sideboard and TV unit if the dining space runs into the living area.

The Byron Collection

Byron is Cedora's newest dining collection, built from solid acacia in a warm, natural finish. The Hamptons-inspired silhouette is softer than the Liverpool and Oxford ranges and suits coastal, relaxed, or modern Australian interiors. Byron is the only collection offering a 160cm table, which makes it a good option for smaller dining spaces or apartments. The 190cm and 240cm tables carry the same style through to larger rooms, and Byron dining chairs (sold as a set of two) match the table's acacia finish.

Pairing Tables with Chairs

Each Cedora dining table is designed to pair with the matching chair from the same collection, in matching materials and finish. For a cohesive dining set, staying within one collection gives the best result. As a rough guide, 190cm tables pair with 3 chair sets (6 chairs), 240cm tables with 4 chair sets (8 chairs), and 160cm tables with 2 or 3 chair sets (4 to 6 chairs), depending on how closely you want the chairs spaced.

Assembly

All Cedora dining tables and chairs are delivered flat-packed and require home assembly. Hardware and instructions are included. For the larger 240cm tables, two people make the process considerably easier.

Which dining table size suits my room? As a rule of thumb, allow at least 900mm clearance on each side of the table for chairs and movement. A 160cm table works in spaces roughly 3.4m x 2.5m or larger, a 190cm in 3.7m x 2.5m, and a 240cm in 4.2m x 3.0m or larger. If the room also doubles as walkthrough space, add another 300 to 500mm on the relevant side.
